Special Announcement:JiveCraft are very pleased to announce that from the beginning of September we will also be running the 1st Move venue at Uckfield on Thursday nights 8pm-11pm (entry only £6) As many of you already will know this successful venue is currently run by our good friends Darren and Claire and as they have decided to take a sebatical we have been delighted to accept thier offer to take over the running of the venue. We have taught at Uckfield regularly for the past 3 years and this is a fantastic opportunity for us. The venue is a super hall in the Civic Centre, Uckfield with a spacious dance floor and friendy team of crew members also the resident DJ Bob Ball provides excellent modern jive music. All of which adds to a super night out, why not come along and experience this for yourselves? |

Music will be played for dancing during the Bar-B-Que Evening Freestyle 8pm til 11pm Great Atmosphere, Super dance floor, great company - why not come along and enjoy the fun? Jive Craft is a brand new Modern-Jive dance company which holds weekly Monday night classes and freestyle and regular Saturday night dances at Hickstead, West Sussex. Jive Craft has one of the best venues in the South-East with plenty of room for dancing, great music and a fun and friendly atmosphere. Having only been open a few months it is fast gaining a reputation for attracting an excellent standard of dancers and is well worth a visit for anyone who is looking for a change from the norm! There is a licensed bar, lounge area, second dance floor, seperate under cover outdoor smoking area and disabled access, plus super views of the showground during the lighter part of the evening. Weekly mini workshops start on Mondays at (around 8.15pm after a quick cup of tea or coffee or something a bit stronger!!) with Beginner Lessons suitable for all. During this time the lounge area is used for a Styling class for both men and women - something which is proving to be highly popular. More seasoned dancers can attend the Advanced/Intermediate mini-workshop with new and interesting moves and some advanced moves to help you expand your repertoire, the mini-workshops are tailored to the dancers who attend. After lessons the Freestyle resumes, this is where you can practice what you have learnt or simply 'show what you know'!. Steve Howard and Julie Bass founded Jive Craft to provide an alternative independant venue in the South East and have been personally involved in the refurbishment of the dance floor to ensure that it is great for modern-jive freestyles and lessons. Why not come along to our weekly classes and try it for yourself? Workshops will be held throughout the year.
